Cédric Klapisch was revealed by the surprise success of Le Péril jeune (1994) and Chacun Cherche son chat (1996), which won the International Critics' Prize at the Berlinale. Un Air de famille (1996), with Jean-Pierre Bacri, Agnès Jaoui, Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Catherine Frot, won several César awards. During the years 2000-2010, he wrote and directed a successful trilogy led by Romain Duris, his favorite actor: L'Auberge espagnole, Les Poupées russes and Casse-tête chinois. In 2008, he released Paris, a choral film with Juliette Binoche, Romain Duris, Karin Viard, François Cluzet, Mélanie Laurent, Albert Dupontel and Fabrice Luchini. Three years later, he reunited Karin Viard and Gilles Lellouche in the dramatic comedy, Ma part du gâteau. His latest film, En Corps, was released in the spring. It features Denis Podalydès and the world of dance through the company of choreographer Hofesh Shechter.


In 2022, Cédric Klapisch was at Les Arcs to represent Ce qui nous lie and Le Péril Jeune, two screenings to commemorate his career.
