Educational pathways

Coming to the Arcs Film Festival with your pupils is also an opportunity for younger audiences to discover other forms of cinematic expression, to learn about different European cultures and to meet the professionals who are shaping the cinema of today and tomorrow.

There are many options for a school trip to the festival: the festival team can help you with your teaching programme and help you organise your visit (accommodation options, personalised schedule of screenings and/or workshops to suit your teaching project, etc.).

Drawing up an educational project

The Arcs Film Festival offers several packages for school groups. Our team is also happy to listen to new suggestions to suit your educational needs.

Discovery day at the festival

Over the course of a day: attendance to one or more screenings, the possibility of organising a special meeting with a professional from the film industry and the opportunity to participate in a masterclass.

“Immerse yourself in a film festival” tour

Over the course of a week: an intense programme in the heart of a film festival atmosphere: screenings and meetings with European film crews. Possibility of organising a meeting or a workshop with a film professional, attending the masterclass programme, etc.

“Cinema & Ski” tour

In collaboration with UCPA Arc 1600, the Arcs Film Festival offers an original way to combine artistic and athletic education: screenings, meetings and debates with film crews, workshops or masterclasses and sports activities.

“Discovering professions” tour

In addition to a varied line-up of films, there's a special tour of the various jobs that make the Arcs Film Festival possible. These are the jobs that cover both the cinema and events industries, as well as the seasonal occupations in a ski resort.

“Moving Mountains” tour

Take part in a series of screenings, debates and workshops designed to stimulate reflection and encourage discussion on the major challenges society faces: the ecological transition, parity, gender diversity and living together, using cinema as a tool for debate.

“Film review” tour

Under the supervision of a film critic, attend screenings, conduct interviews with professionals and write articles that will be published on the Arcs Film Festival website. For more information, don't hesitate to contact us!

“Cinema & Cultural Heritage” tour

In addition to a rich line-up of films and meetings, take a guided tour to discover the outstanding architecture of the Arc 1600 and Arc 1800 resorts, both of which have been awarded the Heritage Label, and take part in the Borain heritage itinerary presented by the municipality of Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
