Educational Actions

School screenings, immersion programs, workshops, masterclasses, meetings with professionals... Les Arcs Film Festival attaches a special importance to young audiences.

Since its creation, The Arcs Film Festival has developed a youth section to give younger audiences the opportunity to discover European cinema and engage with the professionals shaping the cinema of today and tomorrow.

The Festival is first and foremost a cultural gateway, with an eclectic line-up designed to raise awareness about other forms of cinematic expression and generate interest and curiosity, aiming to educate in the visual image. It also serves as a key tool for fostering European consciousness and identity, by raising public awareness of the issues and challenges affecting our country and neighbouring countries. By including young people who don't have frequent access to the cinema, we give them the chance to explore this part of our culture, to feel included in a world that often may seem remote or inaccessible to them.

Our educational pathways combine the discovery of the mountains with the enjoyment of the cinema and its crafts, as well as the topics highlighted and advocated by the festival: Europe, ecology, equal opportunities and other subjects that emerge from the films that the pupils will see.

This initiative has been developed in partnership with the Savoie Education Inspectorate. It is being made possible with the support of Hippocrène Foundation, Creative Europe, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, Savoie Department, Pass'Région, Pass Culture, Unis-Cité and Allociné Kids.
