CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: TALENT VILLAGE - LES ARCS FILM FESTIVAL 2022

The call for applications for the 5th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival's Talent Village for Film Music Composers is now open!

Created in 2009, Les Arcs Film Festival takes place every year during the opening week of the Bourg Saint-Maurice ski resort - Les Arcs, Savoie.
Described as a “European Sundance” by the Hollywood Reporter, the festival is a unique place, where more than 1,500 recognized and emerging professionals from European independent cinema meet through the three days of the Industry Village.

Within the Industry Village, the Talent Village aims to promote a new generation of daring and ambitious creators, and to accompany them on the journey of a first feature film, from directing to production, including soundtrack.
Each year, eight European directors are selected by the festival to participate in three days of workshops before presenting their project in front of professionals.

In collaboration with the Music Village and thanks to SACEM's support, four composers are invited to work on musical themes for two projects selected at the Talent Village ahead of the festival, through a musical intentions memo, as well as a 10-page document on the project.
The composers then go to Les Arcs to participate in a workshop taking place before the festival, alongside with the event directors.
They then participate in the Industry Village at Les Arcs Film Festival, to meet European cinema and music professionals (music supervisors, composers' agents, publishers…).

Each year, an emblematic figure of European cinema shares their experience and exchanges with the selected talents on their projects. After Danish director Thomas Vinterberg (Drunk, Festen, La Chasse, Kursk), French actress Isabelle Huppert and Laurent Cantet (The Timetable, Between the Walls, To the South, Foxfire), Nadav Lapid (Le Genou d'Ahed, Synonymes, L'Institutrice, Le Policier) gave us the honor of being mentor for the 2021 edition.

You can find all the information about the Talent Village here.
