CONFERENCES
Talent Village Music Pitch
The Talent Village aims to encourage the rise of a new generation of daring and ambitious film directors, as well as guiding them in the process of creation of their first feature film. Four composers are invited, in partnership with La Sacem, to work on a score proposal for the directors' feature projects.
After weeks working closely together, this year's composers and directors had the opportunity to present the music scores they have specially created for two of the Talent Village feature films projects in Les Arcs.
Moderated by Nina Benoît (coordinator of the Talent Village) and Laura Bell (music supervisor, The Netherlands)
Conference : From awareness to action tools to fight gender-based violence in the industry
Gender-based and sexual violence remains a pressing issue in the film industry, often disrupting productions and leaving lasting scars. In collaboration with Lab Femmes de Cinéma, this roundtable explored strategies for addressing these challenges, drawing on the work of the French professional group RESPECT, notably with producers Caroline Bonmarchand and Alice Girard.
The group has developed a ‘toolkit’ of recommendations focused on prevention, response during production, and management of films affected by this violence, including ensuring theatrical release and handling promotional issues. This session explored these tools and broadened the conversation to Europe, inviting producers and experts to share their perspectives and resources.

Conference : A producer’s life is unfair redefining the creative producer’s role in international coproductions
In the complex world of international co-productions, creative producers often find themselves at a disadvantage. While they spearhead projects and shoulder the burden of creative and logistical direction, financial disparities between partner countries can lead to uneven results. During this discussion, we explored strategies for preserving the role of the creative producer, whether a majority or minority co-producer, by ensuring a more equitable distribution of revenue and recognition of their essential contributions. We tried to redefine what fair collaboration means in an increasingly globalised film industry.
Moderated by Pandora da Cunha Telles, Ukbar Filmes and member of the EPC Board of Directors.
Conversation with Mario Gianani
Join us for an exclusive conversation with renowned Italian producer Mario Gianani. Known for his exceptional career, Mario Gianani is one of the few producers to have achieved remarkable success in both film and television. Co-founder of Wildside in 2009, he has produced iconic international television series, including The Young Pope and My Brilliant Friend. More recently, Mr Gianani produced The Eight Mountains, winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes, and Il Reste encore demain, a box office hit in 2024. This session offered an in-depth look at Gianani's career, insights into the evolution of the industry, and the unique challenges and opportunities of navigating multiple media.
