MIOB - Young Critics Lab
2025 edition of the lab of cultural creative and Festival journalism
The lab was a unique opportunity to take part in a festival with press accreditation, mentored by a senior journalist alongside 5–6 other young journalists. Participants were able to produce reports on the Les Arcs Film Festival’s activities, conduct interviews with participating talents, and, if agreed, have their articles published on the MIOB and festival websites. Participants trained, learned new skills, watched films, met people and… had a lot of fun!

The participants worked under the guidance of senior journalist Marta Balaga. She has published in Cineuropa, Variety and regularly contributes to Finnish film magazine Episodi.
