TRAVEL BY TRAIN

Traveling by train is easy and eco-friendly. Les Arcs is the most accessible ski resort by train from Paris, Lyon, London, and other European cities.
A trip from Paris to Les Arcs using eco-friendly transportation (metro + TGV + funicular) emits 2.2 kg of CO2, compared to 245 kg of CO2 emitted by car.
If you’re traveling to or passing through Chambéry, TER trains run regularly!

From Paris / With a connection in Paris (from other regions of France or London, Brussels, Amsterdam)

Direct trains as well as routes with transfers (via Chambéry–Challes-Les-Eaux) will allow you to easily reach the Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station, where shuttles will be waiting to take you directly to the resort.

From Lyon / With a connection in Lyon (from southern France or Spain)

There are many TER trains—either direct or with one transfer—that run between Lyon and Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

There are many Milan-Paris trains daily; change trains at Chambéry - Challes-Les-Eaux to reach Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

TRAVEL BY PLANE
A flight emits 80% more CO2 than a train trip. However, we understand that in some cases, flying remains an essential mode of transportation. If you find yourself in one of these situations, we encourage you to offset your carbon footprint directly with the airline when booking your flight, or to calculate your carbon footprint using the tool provided by ADEME (the French Agency for Ecological Transition).

You can “offset” your trip by supporting French carbon capture and storage projects here: low-carbon projects or CO2 storage projects. However, since we believe that retroactive offsetting has its limitations, we encourage you first and foremost to be mindful of your actions to prevent emissions from occurring in the first place.

There are four airports and one heliport available; we recommend Geneva Airport, which offers the most flights. It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes by car from Geneva and Lyon to Les Arcs, 2 hours from Grenoble, and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Chambéry.

Once you arrive at the Bourg Saint Maurice train station, the funicular provides transportation to Les Arcs 1600. It is free for pass holders and those with accreditation.

TRAVEL BY CAR

For electric and hybrid cars, the town of Bourg Saint Maurice has 27 charging stations.

FIND A CHARGING STATION

Special snow equipment required.

- Take the highway to Albertville.

- Take the 2x2-lane highway to Moutiers.

- Take the RN 90 to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, then follow the road from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, and Arc 2000.

Carpooling is an economical and eco-friendly way to get to Les Arcs, while meeting new people who share your passion for cinema.

To make your car trips to Les Arcs easier, several WhatsApp groups organized by geographic area will soon be available. They’ll help you coordinate and communicate easily with other participants.

TRAVEL BY TRAIN

It’s the simplest, most economical and most eco-friendly way to travel. From the Bourg Saint Maurice train station, it’s a 5-minute walk to La Scène and a 10-minute walk to the Cœur d’Or. You can also take the funicular from the station to the venues in Les Arcs (with a shuttle connection).

There are 15 train trips per day from Chambéry to Bourg-Saint-Maurice (via Albertville, Moutiers, Aime…), starting at 5:51 a.m. and running until 10:00 p.m.

CHAMBÉRY - BOURG SAINT MAURICE

And for the return trip from Bourg Saint Maurice to Chambéry, trains run from 4:17 a.m. until 6:13 p.m.
