The Festival is delighted to welcome Daniel Auteuil as its Guest of Honour!

Daniel Auteuil moved to Paris at the age of 16, where he enrolled at the Cours Florent drama school.

He rose to fame in 1980 with Les Sous-doués and achieved critical acclaim in 1986 for his portrayal of Ugolin in Jean de Florette, for which he won the César Award for Best Actor.

His career continued to flourish through collaborations with directors such as Claude Sautet (A Heart in Winter), André Téchiné (My Favorite Season), Patrice Chéreau (Queen Margot) and Michael Haneke (Hidden).

In the 2010s, Daniel Auteuil turned to directing. He also returned to the stage, directing two theatre productions. He continues to work with filmmakers such as Yvan Attal (Le Brio), Rebecca Zlotowski (A Private Life) and Agnès Jaoui (L’Objet du délit).

His latest film, La Troisième Nuit, is set to be released in cinemas in January 2027 and will be presented in a special preview screening at Les Arcs Film Festival.
