The 2026 theme will focus on the connections between AI, humans and living organisms, as seen through the lens of cinema. This theme will run throughout the entire program: films, panel discussions and industry events will explore our relationship with living organisms, the changes brought about by artificial intelligence, its practical applications in the film industry and the sovereignty issues it raises. All of this will be enriched by discussions with thinkers and experts in AI.
After exploring major themes such as gender equality, the ecological crisis and democracy, the 2026 edition will turn its attention to the connections between artificial intelligence, humans and living organisms. In the face of the accelerating pace of technological change we are experiencing, the festival aims to create a space for collective reflection on our place in this changing world.
This exploration will take the form of a selection of films bearing the “Déplacer les Montagnes” label, which examine our relationship to the changes driven by AI, film screenings followed by discussions and workshops featuring experts, a night in a chalet, and professional events focused on the practical applications of AI in the film industry.
