Delphine de Vigan
Delphine de Vigan is the author of ten novels translated in some thirty countries, including No et moi (Prix des Libraires), Rien ne s'oppose à la nuit (Prix du roman Fnac, Prix Renaudot des Lycéens and Grand Prix des lectrices de Elle) and D'après une histoire vraie (Prix Renaudot and Prix Goncourt des lycéens). Her work has been enthusiastically received by the general public and the literary press alike. Several of her novels have been adapted for the cinema, television and theatre. Les enfants sont rois, her latest novel, has been adapted into a series.
Delphine de Vigan also writes screenplays.
Peter Kerekes
Peter Kerekes is a film director, producer and teacher. He directed and produced Wishing on a star (2024), 107 mothers (2021), Velvet terrorists (2013), Cooking History (2009) and 66 Seasons (2003).
He produced the omnibus documentary Occupation 1968 and co-produced the films Stepne (2023) by Maryna Vroda, Fragile memory (2022) by Ihor Ivanko, Caught in the net (2020) by Vít Klusák and Barbara Chalupová, The Wind. Documentary thriller (2019) by Michał Bielawski.
Peter Kerekes is teaching at Academy of Performing Artrs in Bratislava and at the DocNomads – joint masters in Budapest-Lisboa-Brussels.
Pio Marmaï
With multiple César nominations to his name, Pio Marmaï is one of the leading actors of the new generation of French cinema. He has worked with Alain Chabat, Audrey Diwan, Catherine Corsini and Cédric Klapisch, among others.
In 2023, Pio Marmaï played Porthos in Martin Bourboulon's two films adapted from Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan and Milady. He then starred in Yannick, by Quentin Dupieux. The year 2023 ended with the release of Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache's film Une année difficile. Pio Marmaï will be appearing in Lucas Bernard's comedy À toute allure in November 2024, and will next be seen in L'Attachement (Carine Tardieu) and Le Roi Soleil(Vincent Maël Cardona).
Céline Sallette
Trained at the Conservatoire National d'art dramatique after years on the stage, Céline Sallette began her career on the big screen with a role in Patrick Grandperret's Meurtrières. This was followed by appearances under the direction of Sofia Coppola, Pascal Bonitzer and Clint Eastwood. In 2012, she was nominated for a César for L'Apollonide - souvenirs de la maison close.
Céline Sallette performs in a variety of genres, from comedy to drama. She has worked with Jacques Audiard, Cédric Jimenez, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Cédric Khan... She has acted in several TV series and has been involved in films with an ecological slant: Rouge, Les Algues Vertes.
In 2023, she directed her first film, Niki.
Herdís Stefánsdóttir
Herdís Stefánsdóttir is an Icelandic film composer, producer and songwriter. She graduated from New York University in 2017 with an MFA in Film Music.
After graduation, she composed music for feature films, including Knock at the Cabinor Trap, by M. Night Shyamalan. She has won numerous awards for her music and composed the soundtracks for a number of short films premiering at leading festivals such as the Berlinale, TIFF, Sundance and the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Herdís releases and produces her solo work under the artist name Kongulo; she is currently working on her first solo album.
Sofiane Zermani
A singer/rapper, actor, comedian, presenter and producer in the music and film industries, Sofiane Zermani wears many hats. Passionate about music, writing and literature, he began rapping in the early 2000s, and has since released a number of albums, including Affranchis (2018) and La Direction (2021).
He soon developed a keen interest in the worlds of theatre and cinema. He has appeared on stage as Achilles and Gatsby, and on screen in Les Sauvages and Hors Saison. In the cinema, he played a succession of roles, including in Avant que les flammes ne s'éteignent and La Vénus d'argent. In 2024, he starred in Barbès, Little Algérie by Hassan Guerrar.
SHORT FILM JURY
Camille Chamoux, Présidente du Jury courts métrages de la 16ème édition des Arcs Film Festival
Camille Chamoux made her name on the silver screen in 2014 with Mona Achache's Les Gazelles, a feature film she co-wrote. She then went on to make a string of comedies (Larguées, Premières vacances) and films d'auteur (Le Ciel étoilé au-dessus de ma tête, Le Processus de paix). She has recently appeared in Pétaouchnok by Édouard Deluc and Juste cielby Laurent Tirard.
On the series front, Camille Chamoux starred in the mini-series J'ai deux amours for Arte, then under the direction of Jonathan Cohen in La Flamme et Le Flambeau. In 2023, she starred in the two French series Les Randonneuses on TF1 and Tapie on Netflix. In early 2024, she starred in Numéro 10 by David Diane, then in the Canal+ series Terminal, alongside Jamel Debbouze and Ramzy Bedia. She will soon be appearing in Lucky Luke, Ghosts and Zonz.
In 2024, Camille Chamoux co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced an original comedy drama: Chamouxland (20 Sketches dans le cerveau d'une femme). Following the success of the programme, she is preparing Chamouxland 2 for 2025.
Camille Chamoux has also made a name for herself with three one-woman shows, all of which met with critical and public success. She will be back on stage in 2025 in her new show Ça va, ça va.
Lina El Arabi
Lina El Arabi trained at the CNSAD. Confirmation came in 2017, when she played an 18-year-old Belgian-Pakistani woman in Noces, by Stephan Streker, a film for which she won the Valois for Best Actress at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival. At the same time, she received a Crystal Globe for her performance as a young Kurdish woman in Mon Ange, directed by Jérémie Lippmann. Lina El Arabi continued her career in comedy with Family Business on Netflix. In 2023, she starred in Divertimento by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar.
Lina El Arabi then played the lead role in the series Furies, on Netflix. In 2024 she appeared in La Damnée by Abel Danan and in 2025 in the Canal+ series Plaine Orientaleand in the second season of Furies.
Bérangère Mc Neese
Bérangère McNeese is an American-Belgian actress, screenwriter and director. She began her career as a self-taught actress, starring in several feature films. In 2017, she played in Le viol, by Alain Tasma. This was followed by a wide range of projects, including the series HPI, Toulouse Lautrec, Braqueurs and Le bureau des légendes. In 2022, she played the lead in the series Des gens bien, and was then cast in Jamel Debbouze's sitcom Terminal. She made three short films, including Matriochkas in 2020, which won the Magritte du court-métrage and the Grand Prix in Palm Springs.
Her first feature film, Filles du Ciel, is currently in post-production. She will soon be appearing in Mortelle Raclette, by François Descraques, and the series Au fond du trou, on Arte.
Christophe Taudière
Christophe Taudière has been head of the short film division at France Télévisions since 2011. From an editorial point of view, he favours boldness and innovation, and likes to unearth new points of view and new styles of writing, whether in fiction, documentary or animation.
Throughout the year, through its two weekly programmes Histoires Courtes on France 2 and Libre court on France 3, the Short Film Unit gives young filmmakers the chance to tell us about slices of life from a different perspective, that of the incisive short and the moment that surprises us.
Sébastien Vanicek
At the age of 15, Sébastien Vanicek stole his father's camcorder and started filming insects. He discovered editing, the importance of sound and developed a love of images. He made around fifty short films to perfect his technique, including Mayday, which was shown at over fifty festivals, and Crocs. In December 2023 he released his very first feature film, the horror Vermines, which was a great success in cinemas. Screened at the Venice Film Festival, the film also won Best Director and Best Fantastic Film.
Sébastien Vanicek has been announced as director of the next film in the Evil Dead franchise.
