TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PROGRAM
More than 100 films, carefully selected from all over Europe by our artistic director Frédéric Boyer, will be offered for this 15th edition!
8 feature films will compete for the Crystal Arrow awarded by the festival’s jury. Every year, the Official Competition draws up a map of recognized European talents as well as young filmmakers and aims to promote the distribution of their works outside their country of origin.
This year, the spotlight will be on the Netherlands!
In collaboration with the French distributors, we offer previews accompanied by the film teams, for a festive and animated presentation of the films that will be released early next year. A unique opportunity to discover before everyone else the great successes of the cinema to come!
The Playtime selection is an exploration of the best of what european entertainment cinema has to offer. Action movies, road movie, thrillers and comedy... Genre that are poorly represented in festivals, and wich we belive, deserve a real spotlight.
Auteur cinema at its best! A selection of audacious films with contemporary and moving subjects and questions. Nothing can stop the cinema of Height!
Le Sommet des Arcs
14 films will be screened as part of the professional meetings between film distributors and cinema exhibitors, in the Salle des Festivals at Arc 2000.
Femme de cinéma
The "Femme de cinéma Sisley/Les Arcs" Award is a prize committed to the promotion of women who make European cinema today. This award aims to raise awareness among the media, professionals and the general public about the discrimination that women may still face in the world of cinema.
Guests of Honour
Each year, great names of the cinema are honored. Retrospectives on their work but also masterclasses are organized in their presence, giving the public the opportunity to share a moment with them.
The films of our guests of honour and other surprises will be presented in this section.
A selection of the best European short films of the year. This program, proposed within the framework of the competition dedicated to short films, is elaborated by Pascale Faure.
