An upper middle-class French family celebrates a birthday in a restaurant. In one evening and during one meal, family history, tensions, collective and separate grudges, delights, and memories both clash and coalesce.
Tarek and his friends have their Saturday evening all planned out: PlayStation, junk food, and a few joints to go with it. When he pops by the park to buy some weed, a policeman who's been eyeing him from inside his car approaches him. The man has a mysterious air about him. He's gentle yet menacing and somewhat conspiring. Rather than taking him to the precinct, the cop takes Tarek on an adventurous night of brawls, chases, and escapes.

In 1954 the Italian Alpine Club organised an expedition on K2, led by Ardito Desio. The second summit on Earth (8611 metres high) was reached on 31st July by Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli, who took the shots from up there: it was the first time ever on an 8000 peak.
Brussels, early ’60s. Alice and Céline live in twin bourgeois houses. They are best friends as are their children, Theo and Maxime, who have grown up like brothers. Both families spend all their time together. This perfect harmony is broken when an accident creates strong divisions between the two families.

When completely out of the blue Iris (29) is told by her father Jan (74) that he has had enough of life and wants to die, she is forced to face the total absurdity of the situation. As his unsettling deadline approaches, Iris decides to ignore her brother’s watertight action plan. She strong-arms her father into answering the one question that matters to her: why? Without ever getting a satisfactory answer, she eventually tries to find herself a way to deal with her father’s very last wish.
