La Reine Margot

1572. The war of religion between Catholics and Protestants is raging. In an attempt to reconcile the French, Catherine de’ Medici decides to marry her daughter, the Catholic Marguerite de Valois—known as “Queen Margot”—to the Protestant Henri of Navarre, the future King Henri IV. During the night of St. Bartholomew’s Day, as blood flows through the streets of Paris, “Queen Margot” saves Lord de la Môle from the massacre.
