Competition
Eight films in the running for the Crystal Arrow reveal the many facets of European cinema today. From questioning the family unit and the norms that shape it, to exploring young people’s quest for identity and strong political commitment, European cinema has distinguished itself by offering a varied range of themes, European cinema has distinguished itself by offering a varied range of themes.
Focus
Magnificent and sometimes tragic landscapes, family relationships to be unravelled, between fiction and documentaries, recognised masters and emerging talents, discover Iceland through this Focus designed as an exploration of this unique territory and the souls that inhabit it.
Premieres
Be the first to discover the best of French cinema in 2025, always accompanied by the film crews so you can chat with the cream of the made in France seventh art. Comedies, thrillers, romances, fantasies and melodramas: an eclectic panorama of thrills and spills!
Short Films Competition
Put together by Pascale Faure, our selection of short films focuses on new voices in European cinema, highlighting its diversity and creative richness!
Youth Program
Meetings with film specialists, fun workshops, the setting up of a Savoie Youth Jury and immersive breaks: the festival is a mecca for cultural and artistic education, with a host of educational activities planned.
Oscar on skis
In the autumn, each country chooses a film to represent it at theOscar for Best International Film. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring you our selection of favourite candidates, to discover on a cinematic tour of Europe. And the Oscar goes to...
Playtime
If you want to laugh out loud, be moved to tears, be frightened, dream and broaden your horizons, Playtime is THE section to enjoy on the big screen.
Hauteur
Featuring five hand-picked films packed with daring and talent in the running for the Prix Coup de Cœur UniversCiné, the Height section is a firm favourite with cinephiles.
The Summit
A not-to-be-missed event for the various sectors of the film industry, the Les Arcs Summit brings together around 300 professionals from the exhibition and distribution sectors, suppliers and innovation specialists. They come together for screenings, workshops and other opportunities to discuss innovation and changes in the film industry.
Special Screenings
Our films that are out of the ordinary, out of category or out of format... These golden films complete the Les Arcs programme.
Femme de Cinéma
Every year since 2013, this prize aims to honour an emblematic female director of European independent cinema. Ten filmmakers have already received this prize, in partnership with Sisley.
